I had struggled with anxiety and depression since my teens, and had been down most conventional routes. I’d had counselling, a mental health support worker, several different medications in various doses but nothing had ever really gotten to the root of the problem.
Late last year my mother-in-law, who had some understanding of what I’d been dealing with, recommended a different approach, and came up with an alternative I’d never thought to try. That was when I contacted Clare and arranged to start some one-to-one sessions. Clare has helped me to understand my own mental health and by doing that I was able to address the behaviours and situations that would trigger moments of anger or ‘low’ emotions.
My relationships have changed for the better, especially with my son. Now at 5 years old, he pushes boundaries and making him understand the consequences of behaviour is a challenge. Where a year ago I would lose my temper quickly and struggle to deal with the noise, mess or chaos he created, I now deal with his less desirable behaviour calmly and let him express himself more freely. I now value my time over all else, spending it with my family and friends.
Clare related to my situation and helped me see the answers for myself which was a very refreshing approach as in the past I had just been spoon-fed solutions that I could not relate to so did not have an impact on me. I am now more confident with myself, my own abilities, and appearance as I’d also struggled with some body image issues.
With Clare’s help I can now spot the signs that my subconscious is giving me and act on them appropriately without letting that critical inner voice remain in the driving seat all the time. Through relaxation, and becoming more aligned with the signals my body and mind are telling me I feel empowered.
I can safely say that seeing Clare has changed my life and the life of the people around me for the better, and would encourage anyone in a similar situation to give it a go and go in with an open mind as you have the power to change what’s inside you and with Clare guiding you on your journey you can achieve things you didn’t think were possible, and overcome things you never thought you would.
